2014 Goals

I can’t believe 2013 is almost over!  It’s been a great year for me.  The highlight was definitely getting married to my amazing husband.  I’m looking forward to 2014 and in the spirit of New Year’s Resolutions, I’d like to share a few things I’m hoping to accomplish this coming year:

-Memorize “The Family: A Proclamation to the World”
-Complete a half marathon (scheduled for June 2014)
-Have a successful vegetable container garden
-Make a little time for something I enjoy each day

I read a friend’s list of goals yesterday and felt inspired to also put a few of my long-term goals down on “paper”:

-Perform an ordinance in each temple in California (so far I’ve done San Diego, Sacramento and Los Angeles)
-Visit the cities in Armenia and Turkey where my grandmother’s ancestors lived
-Serve a mission (at least one!)
-Have kids
-Own a home
-Visit the Supreme Court of the United States and watch oral arguments
-Learn to speak Spanish comfortably
-Hike Mt. Whitney
-Run a 5k in less than 30 minutes
-Attend Education Week at BYU
-Participate in a Ragnar Relay (in Jess’s honor)
-Attend a wellness/health retreat
-Write a book
-Give a motivational speech for women/young women
-Attend a hearing at the International Court of Justice
-Ride in a gondola in Italy

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year’s Eve!
