Looking back

During last week’s Mia Maid lesson we talked about how faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ can bless our lives.  We shared experiences that have strengthened our faith and talked about the benefits of looking back on our lives and seeing the Lord’s hand guiding our footsteps.  I’ve thought a lot about that this week and am grateful for how I’ve progressed and grown over the last few years.  I’m really grateful to have a job I enjoy and a degree in a subject I love.  I’m blessed to have a wonderful husband and fantastic people in my life.

I see little examples of my dreams coming true each day – my run today, for example.  This morning I went for a 6 mile run.  If I’d tried that a year ago, I’d probably have passed out during my second mile.  I’ve trained consistently for the last 7 months and am so grateful for what my body has accomplished.  I can’t wait for my upcoming races and am excited to keep progressing with my running goals.  My first half marathon of the year is coming up in a little over 3 months!

During last week’s lesson we also talked about the story of Lot.  Our discussion reminded me of one of my favorite Mormon Messages:

Such a great message!
