Drop Dead Diva and 10 Miles

Oh man, Drop Dead Diva is back!  I started watching the show a few years ago and loved it immediately.  Jane is a fantastic main character and the episodes make me smile.  The show recently started its sixth season – I’m looking forward to what’s ahead over the next few months.

Today I did my first 10 mile run.  I still can’t believe I made it!  My legs felt pretty good until the last two miles when fatigue set in.  I tried a GU energy gel about 45 minutes into the run and noticed a boost in my energy levels.

Yay for peanut butter!!

I stretched and foam rolled after the run – hopefully I won’t be too sore tomorrow.  I finished a regular foam rolling session but felt like I needed a little extra attention on my calves.  I sat down and inched the roller down my calves for a bit.  In fact, I discovered that I can blog while foam rolling my calves!  Smileys  After my run, I enjoyed one of the bagels left over from my Boopa’s Bagel run last week.  I froze a few after the race to keep them tasting fresh.  Sun-dried tomato is my new favorite flavor.  So delicious!
