I did a little experimenting during my runs this week … 

 Up until the Longhorn run, I generally used a run 4 minutes then walk 1 minute ratio.  This week, I increased my ratio to 5:1 (5 minutes running, 1 minute walking) and upped my running pace by about 15 seconds per mile.  It may not sound significant, but I could tell I’d increased my pace.  I liked the 5:1 ratio and plan to keep using it for a bit.  So far I’ve only tried the 5:1 ratio on 4 mile runs but plan to try it out on a 6 mile run soon.
