Foodie Friday: Chocolate Coconut Protein Oatmeal

Happy Friday!! I love oatmeal – it’s healthy, satisfying and warm (which I particularly appreciate this time of year)! Today I’d like to share my recipe for Chocolate Coconut Protein Oatmeal:

Chocolate Coconut Protein Oatmeal

1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 cup almond milk (use more or less almond milk depending on your desired consistency)
1 tbsp ground flax seed
1.5 tsp unsweetened coconut flakes
optional toppings: berries, banana slices, nut butter

1. Combine oats, almond milk and flax seed in a microwave safe bowl, cover and cook for 2 minutes
2. Let oatmeal sit for 2 minutes
3. Stir in protein powder, sprinkle with coconut flakes and other desired toppings

    Yummy yum yum! Love the combo of chocolate and coconut and those berries on top look amazing!

  5. This looks great, aside from the chocolate (ya I am one of the weird ones that doesn’t like it.) But I do love oatmeal and I am trying very hard to quit adding the brown sugar and come up with some healthier options, I should try this one:)
