I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’ve concentrated more on weight training since I completed my marathon in April. I’m loving it!
Over the last couple months I’ve spent a fair amount of time learning about weight training techniques and exercises. I wanted to share some of my favorite resources:
Heidi Somers‘ Youtube Channel – Heidi posts fantastic videos with exercises, fitness tips, meal ideas and fun clips with her family members. I love her positive, motivating attitude and have learned a lot from her videos, especially the Operation Booty series.
Sarah Bowmar‘s Instagram Page – Sarah posts workouts as well as videos of individual exercises. I like to check out Sarah’s page when I want a new exercise to add to my routine or to find another way to use one of the machines at the gym.
Bodybuilding.com – This site has great articles as well as explanatory videos for tons of exercises. I use this site when I’m looking for an exercise for a specific body part or want to make sure I am doing an exercise with the correct form.
For now I’m using these resources to create my own workout routines. I’ll start posting some of my routines soon. I’d love to know if there are other weight training resources you’d recommend!
